Kaleidescape Scripts Make You the Director

May 22, 2014

One of my favorite features available on Premiere Line systems is scripts. Scripts allow you to string together play items, like scenes, songs, special features or trailers into a customized playlist. Any content on your system can be used, and there are endless ideas for great scripts.

Using Kaleidescape’s pre-bookmarked scenes and songs you can create scripts with minimal effort. We’ve already marked favorite scenes and songs on thousands of titles for you to access instantly. You can become the director of your own movie by stringing together just about anything.

Today, I’ll round up some great ideas for scripts using Kaleidescape’s pre-marked scenes, songs and other play items.

String together all the times Zach Galifianakis was uncomfortably hilarious in The Hangover, The Campaign and Due Date.

Create an intense sequence of all the most absurd death scenarios in the Final Destination series by linking together the Kaleidescape Scenes.

Perform your own off-Broadway show by mashing up songs from Rock of Ages, Chicago and Cabaret .

Do you have a thing for Legolas? Put all the dreamiest sequences from the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit series together to watch on repeat (yes, scripts have looping capability!).

Create a custom movie theater experience with a twist by queuing up the trailers for Miss Congeniality and Ocean’s Eleven before screening Gravity and have a whole night dedicated to Sandra Bullock and George Clooney.

How about a visual version of Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon featuring scenes from Crazy, Stupid, Love., Sleepers and The Following?

These are just a small example of the vast ways to use scripts to create a whole new type of movie night. Read more about scripts in this how-to guide.

Stay tuned for a follow-up post on “fan boy” scripts made from custom cuts, like the time I marked every time Keanu Reeves said, “woah” in a movie.
