
Born and raised in New York City, Barry Sonnenfeld attended New York University Film School where he graduated in 1978. As a director of photography, Barry began a successful collaboration with the Coen brothers on films including Blood Simple and Miller’s Crossing. His cinematography credits also include the award-winning films Big and When Harry Met Sally. Barry went on to direct box office hits The Addams Family, Get Shorty, and most notably Men in Black. With a successful career behind the lens, Barry lent his talents as producer on The Ladykillers, Enchanted, and other notable films. In addition to feature films, Barry has also directed and produced numerous TV series, including Pushing Daisies.
