Factory Download Service | Disc-to-Digital

For Premiere customers who would like to migrate to our Strato and Terra products, Kaleidescape makes it easy to transition with our disc-to-digital factory download service. This enables the customer to see which movies in their disc-based library are available to be purchased digitally from our movie store, at a nominal disc-to-digital price. Once purchased, the digital movies will then be factory loaded onto their new system before it ships. (A nominal download service fee applies.)

How this service works

When preparing a quote or order for a new system, add part MSDTD – Factory Download Service for Disc-to-Digital to the order to indicate that the customer would like to have purchased content downloaded at the factory prior to shipment.

The Extranet will pre-calculate an estimate for the Disc-to-Digital transactions and will use that amount to purchase the digital movies for the customer. If the actual Disc-to-Digital transaction is less than the estimate, we will leave the balance as movie credits on the customer’s store account. If the actual Disc-to-Digital amount is more than the estimate, we will charge the difference to the dealer in a separate transaction.

Once the payment for the order is confirmed, Kaleidescape order processing will release the order to stage the new Strato movie player or Terra movie server for content download at the factory. The customer will receive an email with information about the factory download service. They will also receive an email with a link to activate their system. Once the system is activated, the customer will need to register the new system to their existing movie store account.

Terms and Conditions

Payment must be made in full prior to any factory content download service begins.

A 15% product restocking fee applies if the order is cancelled after the account is activated and the content download process has begun.

All movie purchases are non-refundable, whether paid by credit card or otherwise.
