Kaleidescape Inks License Agreements with The Orchard, K2 Communications, and Moving Art, for 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray Quality Titles

Sunnyvale, CA – January 5, 2016 – Kaleidescape, Inc., the leading manufacturer of premium movie players and servers for the home, today announced that it has entered into content license agreements with three prestigious content providers: The Orchard, Moving Art, and K2 Communications. All three studios provide high-definition titles that became available on the Kaleidescape Movie Store this December, and 4K Ultra HD titles that will become available when the Kaleidescape Strato movie player ships in early 2016.

Award-winning cinematographer Louie Schwartzberg’s Moving Art studio brings its four-part series “Nature’s Wonders,” which uses time-lapse and macro photography to create intimate portraits of landscapes. K2 Communications brings a library of extraordinary natural history documentaries, including Academy Award nominees, “Alaska: Spirit of the Wild,” and “The Living Sea.” Finally, The Orchard, the leading digital provider of action sports films, brings the smash snowboarding hit “The Art of Flight,” as well as Warren Miller’s acclaimed ski and snowboard films. The Orchard also provides sports movies and film festival favorites.

“Kaleidescape is committed to growing the library of content that can be enjoyed by our customers,” said Kaleidescape Founder & CEO Cheena Srinivasan. “These studios bring interesting, exhilarating, and best of all, stunning 4K content to our platform.”
