How do I play a movie in an endless loop?

To play a single movie, scene, or song over and over in an endless loop, use this procedure to create a script from the browser interface. The browser interface must be accessed from a device connected to the same local network as the Kaleidescape System.

1. In the address bar of a web browser, enter:

http://my-kaleidescape on Windows,
http://my-kaleidescape.local on a Mac, or Windows with iTunes (or Bonjour) installed,
or if those methods fail, http://xxx.www.yyy.zzz on Windows, or Mac, where xxx.www.yyy.zzz is the IP address of the server, or Cinema One (1st Generation).

2. Open the SCRIPTS tab.

3. Click Create a New Script at the top of the page. The NEW SCRIPT window appears.

4. Enter a name in the New Script Name box, and click OK. The window closes.

5. Click Add Step at the bottom of the page. The SCRIPT STEP window appears.

6. Select the first radio button titled Play a movie, episode, scene, song, or other video content, and then click Next.

7. Select the title in the top box and Movie in the bottom box, then click Next.

8. Uncheck the first box, It has played this many times.

9. Click OK.

To play the loop, select the script from the Scripts collection in the on-screen user interface and press PLAY. The single movie plays repeatedly in an endless loop until STOP is pressed.

To play a sequence of movies, scenes, songs, or extras in an endless loop, use the following procedure.

1. Open the browser interface and open the SCRIPTS page as described in steps 1 and 2 above

2. Click Create a New Script at the top of the page. The NEW SCRIPT window appears.

3. Enter a name in the New Script Name box, and click OK. The window closes.

4. Click Add Step at the bottom of the page.

5. Select the first radio button titled Play a movie, episode, scene, song, or other video content, and then click Next.

6. Select the title in the top box and the movie, scene or song in the bottom box, then click Next.

7. Click Finish without changing the default values on the SCRIPT STEP page.

8. Repeat steps 4 to 7 for each movie, scene, song, or extra.

9. When done adding steps, click Script Properties at the bottom of the Scripts page. The SCRIPT PROPERTIES window appears.

10. Check Repeat Script.

11. Click OK.

To play the loop, select the script from the Scripts collection in the on-screen user interface and press PLAY. The sequence of movies / scenes / songs plays repeatedly in an endless loop until STOP is pressed.

NOTE: Scripts are a feature limited to Premiere systems.
