How much Internet bandwidth does a Kaleidescape System use?
A Kaleidescape System uses its Internet connection for four basic activities:
1. Downloading the Movie Guide, the Music Guide, cover art and artist images uses about 3 GB per month per server.
2. Occasional software updates use roughly 165 MB.
3. System health monitoring uses approximately 30 MB per month.
4. Uploading diagnostic information (logs) varies from system to system based on the number of components. All servers including Kaleidescape Alto and Cinema One upload between 90 and 150 MB per month while players and vaults upload between 9 and 15MB per month.
5. Store movie downloads use roughly (30GB SD, 50GB HD, 70GB UHD/HDR).
When a system has been offline for an extended period of time and is reconnected to the Internet, it will require more bandwidth to download all needed updates and to upload locally stored diagnostic information
NOTE: Strato systems do not support music.
