I see a warning message, “Cover art may be missing if available storage is not increased.” How do I fix this?
The Kaleidescape System uses storage on the server or player/server when transforming cover art to provide the full experience of the Kaleidescape user interface. If there is not enough available storage, then some images may be missing. This problem can also arise when CinemaScape is used for a 2.35 screen home theater as additional space is required to store images scaled for CinemaScape. The best solution to this problem depends on your system.
If none of servers or player/servers in your system have available storage, then it is best to contact an authorized Kaleidescape dealer to discuss system upgrade options to best meet your storage requirements. Kaleidescape offers storage trade-up programs.
If other servers or player/servers in the system have available storage, then delete and reload selected content. When the selected content is downloaded or imported again, the system stores the content onto the server or player/server that has the most free space. The Kaleidescape System does not automatically move content from server or player/server to another; this must be done manually by deleting and reloading content.
Start by powering off any server or player/server in the system that is not identified as needing increased storage. Verify by serial number that the affected server or player/server remains powered on. This ensures that only content from the affected server or player/server is deleted.
Next, use instructions in the following article to delete downloaded or imported movies from the affected player/server. Be aware that deleting cataloged movies will not free up space. How do I delete a movie?
After deleting a movie or two, power up all components in the system, and download or import the content back to the system.
NOTE: Systems purchased from Kaleidescape after November 30th, 2014 are not be able to import CSS-protected DVDs. For more information, please visit CSS-Protected-DVD-FAQs.
Strato systems do not support the import of discs.
