Support for Kaleidescape Conductor has been terminated with the release of kOS 8.7.0 in October 2021
Kaleidescape Conductor was an application that allowed the export of imported Compact Discs on a Kaleidescape system to an iTunes library on Windows computers. Conductor had several limitations, most notably, the lack of a lossless music export option. With the termination of music guide updates and the introduction of Kaleidescape Music Export (with full lossless music export features) in early 2020, Conductor will be retired and will cease to perform music export and iTunes synchronization.
When Kaleidescape systems with installations of Conductor upgrade to kOS 8.7.0, the Conductor application may present a message “There was an error upgrading Kaleidescape Conductor to the necessary version for your System.”
In this state, attempts to upgrade Kaleidescape Conductor will fail.
We recommend you uninstall Kaleidescape Conductor and install Kaleidescape Music Export. Music Export allows you to export your music library to your home computer in one of two different lossless file formats. It runs on both Windows and macOS operating systems and is highly configurable. With Music Export you will need to use the iTunes application to manually perform a synchronization after exporting.
