OBJECTIVE:
The operations working position responsible to lead the successful identification, development, execution and maintenance of e-Commerce development and execution of related global inbound and outbound logistics, export compliance, domestic and international warehousing, carrier engagement opportunities. This should lead to enhanced, efficient and cost effective business to business (B2B) programs between Kaleidescape and its logistics and carrier partners. Responsibilities will include overseeing the initiation, negotiation support, implementation and monitoring of Kaleidescape logistics inventory, services, contracts and agreements. This position reports to the Director of Supply Chain Management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Managerial- Responsibility for global inventory management, warehousing, forward / reverse logistics, RMA, shipping and receiving activities.
- Lead responsibility for Kaleidescape export compliance program. Supervise binding rulings requests submitted to US Customs.
- Select and manage customs broker relationships. Manage post entry audit process.
- Lead responsibility for Kaleidescape domestic and international carrier program.
- Provide leadership and guidance to Kaleidescape team members in developing, planning, executing, and maintaining global logistics, RMA, and e-Commerce strategies and programs.
- Working with the operations team members, this position will lead the effort to identify, implement and monitor integrated Kaleidescape global logistics contractual and e-Commerce process improvement business opportunities.
- Responsibility for global pricing and stocking agreements for OEM logistics programs, materials, labor services and material providers, incorporating e-Commerce business solutions.
- Responsibility for contractual agreement compliance in support of logistics sub-assembly and peripheral warehousing, integration, system test and shipment of configured products to Kaleidescape customers. Minimize or eliminate Kaleidescape inventory risk exposure for her/his area of responsibility.
- Responsible to develop, negotiate and implement the supply chain export and carrier management cost reduction programs in support of a global logistics RMA strategy.
- Provide input and resources in support of Operations and Kaleidescape fiscal year key objectives and goals.
- Establish key process indicators (KPI's) for assigned areas of responsibilities, providing reports to Kaleidescape management, as required.
- Respond to customs inquiries and request for information. Liaise with company and/or outside counsel on customs issues related to valuation, classification, buying agency issues, etc.
- Administer foreign trade zone operations. Review C-TPAT obligations and update corporate security procedures for US Customs validation process.
- Explaining and enforcing terms and conditions of agreement with global logistics and carrier supply chain organizations while employing acceptable and productive negotiating to ensure the best interests of the company are not compromised.
- Lead negotiation team(s) and manage the pricing and contractual requirements on assigned projects (i.e. global warehousing, international carriers, carrier routing, international export and custom brokers).
- Responsible for the successful development and implementation of the reverse logistics and carrier tactics.
- Responsible for establishing current overall cost of doing business model (including inventory models) and then develop, implement, and maintain programs to meet minimum back end business cost reduction goals of each fiscal quarter.
- Responsible for audit and approval of all costs related to any carrier or RMA activities (i.e. freight bills, processing fees, repair, etc).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A professional level of business and financial knowledge, as could be obtained from a degree in a related field.
- 7 years minimum of logistics, transportation, distribution, Logistics Finance with a strong understanding of P&L and cost structures. Knowledge of supply chain is critical.
- Excellent oral and written communication, math skills, well organized and detail-oriented. Knowledge of accounting principles and how they impact profits.
- Can exercise considerable judgment in identifying and solving complex problems associated with Kaleidescape business relationships.
- Demonstrates team leadership skills with the ability to influence internal functional groups to meet company goals. Accepts responsibility and is accountable for her/his activities and maintains focus to reach the desired results in the established timeframes.
