IT Help Desk Specialist

JOB DUTIES:

  • Provide Day-to-Day Help Desk/End User support.
  • Account activation and modification for users and computers.
  • Hardware and Software procurement.
  • Software license management.
  • Automation projects to improve on repetitive tasks such as system image development and maintenance, anti-virus updates and windows updates using centrally managed servers.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven dedication and an on-going commitment to a "customer first" philosophy
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP based networking concepts and best practices
  • Basic understanding of Windows 2003 Active Directory Administrative tasks
  • Basic experience on Linux system and associated scripting is a plus
  • Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting Windows Operating Systems and the MS Office 2003 Suite of products
  • Familiarity with basic administration of Avaya Telephony products is a plus
  • Ability to multi-task, with strong desire for ownership of projects to see them through completion
  • Willingness to learn new tools and applications quickly
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience – One to two years in an IT operational or support capacity that directly interacted with a wide variety of user/customers.
  • Education – A Bachelor’s degree is desired but not necessary.
