WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The Kaleidescape System on-screen user interface must balance several needs: to let the user find movies and albums easily, even if they're not sure what they want to watch or hear; to be easy to use for infrequent users and guests; and to look great!
Kaleidescape Engineering is seeking programmers to further develop this interface as we tackle other media types, even larger libraries (many thousands of titles) and the increasing sophistication of users. You will design and implement new features and changes to existing features. A good sense for practical UI design is important!
Candidates should have a related University degree or equivalent, experience designing and implementing user interfaces, a user-centered view of design, and a strong desire to create high quality products. Experience with some of the following is helpful:
- C++, Linux, GNU toolchain
- Multi-threaded architecture for smooth UI animation
