WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Kaleidescape is seeking fast-learning, details-oriented engineers to work on all aspects of the system, including device drivers, microkernel, RAID, file system, user interface, encryption, and networking. Sample projects include writing embedded multimedia software for players, distributed programming for clustered servers, implementing standards-based network services, supporting new hardware platforms, etc.

Candidates should have a related University degree or equivalent, excellent written and oral communication skills, multi-threaded programming experience, and a strong desire to create high quality products. Experience with some of the following is an asset:

  • C++, Linux, GNU toolchain
  • Embedded real-time microkernel operating systems
  • Highly concurrent thread-based architecture
  • Distributed systems, clustering, TCP/IP
