Each M-Class player includes a Kaleidescape Remote for control of the player right out of the box.
In addition, almost any other IR remote can be used with a Kaleidescape player. IR commands provided by Kaleidescape can be used to control a Kaleidescape movie zone connected to a display device. The amount of control depends on the type and capabilities of the remote.
The Kaleidescape Remote can be used to control a Kaleidescape player. It features one-button access to key commands such as Intermission, Shuffle and Now Playing, and includes programmable volume and mute buttons.
The Kaleidescape Remote is included with each M-Class player. It is also available separately for purchase.
When the Child Remote is used, the onscreen user interface automatically switches to the simplified child user interface, eliminating all text-based menus in favor of pure graphical navigation of movie covers.
Use the preprogrammed Kaleidescape Child Remote or any programmable controller to send child user interface commands. Refer to IR Control Hex Codes for Kaleidescape Systems or the Kaleidescape System Control Protocol Reference Manual.
These remotes are generally more sophisticated models, with software provided by the manufacturer to program the remote through a computer. Several of these programs allow IR codes in hex format to be imported.
