Marine Movie Service: Delivery Disk Loading Guide

The Kaleidescape Marine Movie Service allows purchased movies to be loaded onto a transportable SSD drive called the Delivery Disk, which is then shipped to the customer's location. The Delivery Disk drive can then be used to load the movies onto the designated Strato system by plugging it into a Terra movie server, a Strato S movie player, or a Strato movie player with storage. A Delivery Disk can only be used to load purchased movies onto the system, which is registered to the same Marine movie store account that was used to purchase the movies. 

Note that an Internet connection is required briefly after connecting a Delivery Disk. This is required to verify the server status. The connection is required for up to an hour after the disk is connected.

Also note that if a Strato or Strato S movie player is to be used for loading, then it should not be in use prior to connecting a disk. Movie playbacks from the player will be negatively impacted by the loading process.

The procedure to load the movies from the Delivery Disk is as follows:
 

  1. Remove the Delivery Disk and cable from the case and foam slip.
  2. Plug one end of the cable into the Delivery Disk and the other end into the rear USB port of a Terra, Strato S, or Strato.
  3. Phase 1: The front logo of the Terra or Strato will blink every 3 seconds once the disk is detected.
    • An Internet connection is required in this phase.
    • A blinking network error icon during indicates a poor Internet connection.
  4. Phase 2: The logo will smoothly pulse while transferring content.
    • The Internet connection is not required during this phase.
  5. The content transfer is complete when the logo blinks rapidly.
  6. Unplug and the Delivery Disk and re-use for data storage if you like.
